FAQ
What does adapting a language pair mean?
Adapting a language pair refers to the process of customizing or modifying an existing language pair to improve accuracy, efficiency and fluency, often fine-tuning it for specific domains or industries. In Language Weaver these are known as Adaptive Language Pairs.
When you adapt a language pair it usually involves:
- Enforcing key terminology by adding dictionaries to customize your translation output such as brand names, industry- and domain-specific lexicon.
- Leveraging existing bilingual data and translation assets to tailor the translation output to your unique tone of voice.
You can usually adapt a language pair multiple times, e.g. to a specific domain such as legal, financial, automotive, life sciences or to a specific customer or project.
