Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT)
AIoT is the combination of AI (Artificial Intelligence) and IoT (Internet of Things). AI models are deployed to a vast amount of data produced by smart devices to generate data insights, enable devices to make decisions autonomously and improve human-machine interactions. The ability of devices to make decisions with real-time information is also known as edge intelligence, the term ‘edge’ referring to the fact that the respective device represents an endpoint of the network – is situated at the edge. One of the main advantages of AIoT is that it enables devices to make decisions on their own (on the edge), even if they are not connected to the server (cloud).
How does structured content help?
Smart devices communicate by sending and receiving content – be it data points or more complex user-facing information. One of the industry's main challenges is the consistency of the exchanged content. Especially when talking about data, it is crucial that it can seamlessly flow from one system to another without being altered, regardless of communication protocols and format. Organizations with a structured content strategy can manage content irrespective of its format. Their structured content management platforms act as hubs that receive and send content from and to any intelligent device.
