Appointment of Chief Financial Officer

RWS Holdings plc (“RWS”, “the Group”), the world’s leading provider of intellectual property support services (patent translations, international patent filing solutions and searches) and a leading provider of life sciences and commercial language services, today announces the appointment of Desmond Glass as Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”). Desmond, 47, has almost 20 years’ experience in senior finance roles across a range of sectors in UK and US headquartered businesses with international operations.  He joins from GAN plc, the AIM listed internet gaming software company, where he has held the role of CFO for nine years. He had a central role in GAN’s development from internet start-up to its IPO in November 2013 and beyond, encompassing financial and operational strategy, corporate development, M&A due diligence, as well as investor relations. Desmond qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte in 1994 and also holds an MBA from Imperial College, London. Desmond’s appointment, which will be effective from 6 November 2017, follows Richard Thompson’s promotion to Chief Executive Officer, as announced in April 2017.
