You will primarily be responsible for supporting the patent operations teams within the EuroFile department but may, from time to time, be called upon to work with our other departments located on-site.

Main duties:

• Work directly with the Patent Translation Coordinators to ensure that projects are delivered in a timely manner
• Cross reference of invoices and documents to ensure client satisfaction
• Generation of project-specific documentation within the Workflow Management System(s)
• Maintenance of records within the Workflow Management System(s)
• Final quality control of documents before release to clients
• Any other duties as may be reasonably required to support the patent operations teams

We are seeking a Translations Coordinator to work within our patent operations team based at our Head Office in Chalfont St Peter, Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire. The patent operations team coordinates all elements of the patent translation process to ensure that deadlines and country-specific requirements are met. This is an administrative process where customer liaison forms an important part of the role. Team members also gain a basic understanding of patent filing formalities.

Responsibilities 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparation of RWS’ internal paperwork in line with the client’s instructions, and entering and processing orders through the workflow management system

  • Liaison between in-house and/or freelance translator and client to resolve any queries that may arise during translation
  • Invoicing instructions to Invoicing Department

Our patent translation division requires additional high calibre graduate Scientists and Engineers to train as professional Staff Translators. You must have:

  • Spanish mother tongue, excellent knowledge of English and at least a degree level qualification in chemistry or biochemistry.
  • French mother tongue, excellent knowledge of English and at least a degree level qualification in mechanical, electrical or automotive engineering. German knowledge preferable but not essential.
